4 Kinds of Performers

"All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players" was what the brilliant playwright and poet William Shakespeare said. And he was right. We are all performers in our own way. We perform for our friends, for our jobs, for our families and for ourselves. Some of us our overly hyper and add value to a social dynamic by acting like the court jester. Others are quiet or somber but unleash in other ways, like the music they listen to, the way they dress or dance.

There are many different kinds of performers including:

1. Movie actors:

It's a very common dream to grow up wanting to be on the big screen. The glamour and grandiose of celebrity life is hard to miss even as a little person. There are some obvious advantages of acting for film. The first being the pay checks. People love going to the movies which means big salaries for the leading actors. The second is the ability to do retakes. Unlike stage actors who have to memorise all of their lines, film actors can do retakes. And the final benefit is the short production time. Stage actors can perform in the same show for years; TV actors have to do 24 episodes in one season, whereas film actors can film an entire major motion picture in a matter of months.

2. Television actors:

The great thing about acting on a hit television show is how long you can stay in, and how much you can be a part of peoples' lives. People love their shows. Whether they are cheesy, guilty little pleasures or thought-provoking dramas, we get hooked on them and look forward to watching them every week. A lot of film actors started their careers on television shows.

3. Stage actors:

In my opinion stage acting is the most artistic form of acting. There is very little to hide behind on stage. Actors may have special lighting or makeup, but the audience can hear their real voice, see their real body, and in some occasions feel their real sweat. Stage actors must know all of their lines and allude to things as much as possible without the help of special effects and deceiving camera techniques.

4. Court jesters:

A court jester is a joker, a fool, a prankster or clown. They are the entertainment of the night. In the European monarchy jesters traditionally wore bright colours and items which inspired laughter and mockery. In every group of friends or family there tends to be a court jester. Someone who without fail has the ability to entertain those around them.

Now that we've covered the different types of performers it's time to find them their perfect stage.
